Well guys, we made it. Another Christmas come and gone, and I have to tell you, it’s like a rip in the space-time continuum caused the holiday season to lumber along, while the holiday weekend itself went by in a flash. I guess I have a touch of the holiday hangover, but I’m slowly bouncing back and ready to gear up for the new year. There were a few interesting bits of news out there in December (as usual), so I though I would keep it simple this week and chat about those.
Welcome back gang! The holiday season is chugging right along, and mine has been extra busy. But I’ve been able to mix it up with family, friends, and even squeezed in a little “me time” here and there, so overall, I can’t complain. For those of you still trying to come up with some nearly-last-minute gift ideas, I thought I’d throw in another DIY-ish food gift. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll appreciate that it’s all about the black gold, or as some folks call it, coffee.
Season’s greetings! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday so far. Mine has been, in a word, busy. Between Thanksgiving and the New Year, my “free time” goes down to almost zero, and I’m sure plenty of you out there are having the same experience. Thankfully I have lots of that classic holiday spirit to keep me motivated and my stress level fairly low. Somehow, stress isn’t as “stressful” when you’re enjoying yourself! So this month I wanted to talk a little about gift ideas that are food-related. Food gifts can be a good idea for a few reasons: they can be inexpensive to acquire, they can be good for someone you don’t know very well (such as a co-worker), and there are a variety of options available, which can make it easy to suit the tastes of someone you do know well. I thought this week I might talk about one that has loads of flavor possibilities and is an easy DIY, although pre-made ones are also available here and here.
Hey gang! Hope everyone had a great holiday. Did you eat too much? Splendid! Did you raise the power nap to an art form? Excellent! Mine was lovely as usual; lots of family, lots of food, lots of football, so all my requirements were met. There were still, of course, plenty of things on my mind in November, so I thought I’d throw this one out there before the mania of the holiday season really goes into full gear.
