Recently I have found myself getting more into skincare, and not just the skin on my face. Maybe it’s the approach of summer, with warmer temperatures and more skin on display. Maybe it’s just because when my skin feels good, I feel good. Whatever the reason, this week I wanted to talk about Tree Hut, a brand that doesn’t get a lot of hype, but that I have been crazy about for awhile now, and I thought it deserved a spot here on the blog.
It’s pretty pleasing to see more and more people getting on board with buying and eating more fresh/organic/local products. I suppose with the logistics and economics making the items more available, a greater number of people will have access to such things. Lexington has already welcomed national chains Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s to it’s fold, and a few weeks ago they were joined by Colorado-based chain Lucky’s, and I was curious to see how it compared.
So after the impression left on me by my first Love With Food subscription box last month, I was eagerly anticipating my follow-up delivery for March. And I’m pleased to say that it was a winner. But I’ll stop yakking now and get into these little gems.
Choco Chews by Trujoy Sweets – So if you saw these, you would just say, ugh, they’re just knock-off Tootsie Rolls. Nope, not quite. These are gluten-free, vegan, certified organic, non-GMO chocolate chews. And this Illinois-based company also offers lollipops, candy canes, and fruit-flavored chews that fit the same bill. Oh and I almost forgot to mention – they’re delicious. www.trujoysweets.com or on Twitter @SurfSweets
